|Sarah S. McNamara, PT, DPT
Hi! My name is Sarah. I graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2009 with my Bachelor's in Allied Health Sciences, and in 2012 with my Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT). I have over 4 years of experience in outpatient orthopedics and love what I do! I enjoy being able to work with patients of all ages and particularly enjoy treating adolescents and older adults.
My practice focus is orthopedics, but I also have a special interest in health and wellness and neurological rehabilitation. I enjoy treating individuals with Parkinson’s Disease and I am currently a certified clinician in LSVT BIG (a research-based exercise program for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease).
My areas of interest and focus include:
• Spinal Dysfunction
• Shoulder and Hip Injuries
• Neurological Rehabilitation
• Balance/Fall Prevention
I am an active member in the Connecticut Physical Therapy Association and have served as a clinical instructor for multiple physical therapy students. In my free time I love to travel, play sports (volleyball, basketball) and garden. I love living on the Shoreline with my husband and black lab, Andi. We try to spend as much time as possible outside and out on the water during the summers.
